Project Name: Collaborative Conveyancing (CCAI)

Client / Organization: Collaborative Conveyancing (CCAI), UK

Timeline: 2026 – Present

Project Status: Production Live | Actively Maintained

Project Overview

Collaborative Conveyancing (CCAI) is a cloud-native SaaS platform developed for conveyancing firms and legal professionals to streamline property transactions through a centralized digital ecosystem. The platform brings together case management, property searches, statutory forms, client communication, payment processing, document management, and AI-powered risk analysis into a single solution, enabling firms to manage the entire conveyancing lifecycle more efficiently while improving collaboration and client experience.

Designed with a modular microservices architecture, the platform provides secure, scalable, and workflow-driven operations for legal practices of all sizes. By centralizing business processes, automating routine tasks, and integrating with key property, compliance, payment, and communication services, CCAI helps reduce manual effort, improve operational efficiency, strengthen regulatory compliance, and deliver a modern digital experience for both legal professionals and their clients.

Technology Stack

Frontend: The frontend is developed using Angular 19 and TypeScript, delivering a modern, responsive, and component-based user experience for legal professionals and conveyancing firms. Built with ABP NG, LeptonX, RxJS, and SignalR, the application provides real-time communication, dynamic workflows, interactive case management, and seamless client collaboration. Additional capabilities include PDF.js for document viewing and Progressive Web App (PWA) support, enabling secure access across desktop and mobile devices while delivering a consistent and high-performance user experience.

Backend: The backend is built using ASP.NET Core 9 and the ABP Framework, following Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles to create a modular and maintainable microservices architecture. The platform manages conveyancing cases, property transactions, statutory forms, client communication, payment processing, document management, and business workflows through secure RESTful APIs. ABP Background Jobs, custom workers, and Redis support asynchronous processing, scheduled operations, caching, and workflow automation, ensuring scalability and reliable system performance.

AI Technologies: The CCAI platform uses modern AI to support document analysis, risk prediction, communication, and case operations. It is built around dedicated Python/FastAPI AI microservices on Azure, powered by Azure OpenAI for LLM-powered risk analysis and embedding-based similar-enquiry matching. The platform also includes AI-assisted voice communication with Retell AI (planned), document extraction, risk surfaces, and planned RAG and MCP-based citation-grounded AI assistance to accelerate case setup, surface risks earlier, and support decision-making across complex property transactions.

Authentication & Security: The platform implements secure authentication using Keycloak, OpenIddict, Microsoft Entra ID, and LSL Single Sign-On (SSO) to provide centralized identity management and secure access across integrated services. Modern authentication protocols and role-based authorization ensure secure communication, controlled user access, and protection of sensitive legal and client information.

Database: The application utilizes Microsoft SQL Server, Entity Framework Core 9, and PostgreSQL to provide reliable and scalable data management across multiple services.

Third-Party Integrations: The platform integrates with a wide range of enterprise and industry services, including Stripe, HM Land Registry (HMLR), Credas AML, Yousign, Microsoft Graph, Zapier, Retell AI, Rightmove, Zoopla, Companies House, Azure Blob Storage, SMS gateways, email services, and property search APIs. These integrations enable secure identity verification, electronic signatures, payment processing, property searches, document storage, communication, and workflow automation within a unified legal platform.

Monitoring & Logging: Application monitoring and centralized logging are implemented using Serilog and Azure Application Insights, providing structured logging, performance monitoring, diagnostics, and error tracking. These tools help maintain application reliability, simplify troubleshooting, and support proactive monitoring across development and production environments.

Testing: The application follows established testing practices using MSTest, NUnit, and FluentAssertions to support unit testing and functional testing. These practices help ensure application reliability, maintain code quality, and reduce regressions across ongoing feature development and production releases.

Deployment & DevOps: Deployment and release management are automated using Azure DevOps and GitLab CI/CD, enabling reliable continuous integration and delivery across multiple environments. The platform is deployed using Azure App Service, Azure Static Web Apps, and Azure Container Apps, while Azure Key Vault securely manages application secrets, configuration, and environment-specific settings to support scalable and secure cloud deployments.
